Wedding planning checklist
A wedding planning checklist can be invaluable when you take your first tentative steps into the unknown world of wedding madness!
You may be feeling overwhelmed, and if so, don’t worry, that’s perfectly normal! After all, you may not have planned your own wedding before, and even if you have, you’ll want this one to be different.
- Less stress If you’re planning a celebrant-led ceremony you’ll find that your celebrant will guide you the legal process that you need to undertake. That’s the formal part, and the fun bit is making all the exciting decisions that go into your special day. It’s so easy to feel stressed and put yourself under pressure, but the best way to deal with each task is to make a list and tick the items off as you go along. Better still, delegate to friends, family and partner. That way you’re not having to deal with everything yourself and they will probably enjoy getting involved anyway.
- Saves time Procrastination and poor prioritisation wastes so much time. Having a clear list of things to do helps you to focus on what matters and avoid duplicating your efforts. For example, Bridesmaids are traditionally responsible for organising the hen night so give them a brief (definitely let them know do’s and don’ts) and leave them to it.
- Saves money Setting a budget and sticking to it is crucial when planning your wedding. If it’s not on the list, don’t buy it!
